The bad news is that I spent the better part of last week curled up in bed, surrounded by Kleenex and cough drops, and thus not running a lick for five days straight.
The good news? That's not what this post is about!
No, this post is about the one thing that got me through every single run I completed the week prior to flu-mageddon (well, that and this magnificent interval-training revelation from Fairest Run of All). That thing, my friends, is the Frozen soundtrack. Like a vision in the night, the stunning score and hugely hummable songs swooped in to add a little somethin'-somethin' to my workout playlist. While it's certainly no secret that the tunes from Disney's newest hit have been lauded as the best in years, they definitely don't get as much credit for the way they make a workout about a hundred times more fun. Honestly, the entire album is enough to keep me going for miles, but there is one very special "power song" that will always push me through when the going gets tough... and I have a feeling you all know what it is!
"Let it Go" is an ultimate anthem, and it instills me with strength and confidence long after I take off my running shoes!
